SafiSiti – Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how SafiSiti collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information. It complements our Terms of Service. If you disagree with this Policy, please discontinue use of the platform.

1. Data Controller & Developer Roles

Data Controller: TooroDev ODA – determines the purposes and means of processing.
Developer / Processor: Moels Group – maintains infrastructure and implements features under controller instructions. Certain third-party vendors (e.g., hosting, mapping, messaging) act as processors or sub-processors.

2. Scope

This Policy applies to data collected through the SafiSiti mobile apps, web portals, dashboards, APIs, and communications (email, support, feedback) from users within and outside Uganda, subject to local laws.

3. Information We Collect

• a. Account & Profile Data: Name, username, role, organization, and contact details.
• b. Operational Waste Data: Collection events, bin/route identifiers, photos, timestamps, volumes, and categorization.
• c. Location Data: GPS coordinates for route tracking, inspector verification, bin placement, and event logging (only when permitted).
• d. Device & Technical Data: Device model, OS version, app version, language, crash logs, and diagnostic events.
• e. Usage & Log Data: Authentication logs, feature usage metrics, timestamps, and IP-derived approximate location.
• f. Communications: Messages to support, feedback forms, and notification preferences.
• g. Optional Data: Surveys, training participation, or community engagement inputs (collected with consent).

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data unless expressly required for a specific authorized module.

4. Legal Bases

Processing relies on: (i) consent, (ii) contractual necessity, (iii) legitimate interests, (iv) legal obligations, and (v) public interest / sanitation objectives.

5. How We Use Information

We use data to provide and secure platform features, facilitate routing and inspections, generate analytics, manage permissions, send updates, detect abuse, improve user experience, and fulfill legal requirements.
